TecH2O staff and volunteers proudly participated in the annual Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta with a booth and lessons about water resources and conservation.

People and pets of all ages made their way to the Tom Mays section of Franklin Mountains State Park for a day of music, hiking, scavenger hunts, chili cook-offs, and games. Surrounded by the beauty of our desert, many organizations were on hand to offer a firsthand look at some of the types of animals and plants that inhabit our region.

By taking a chance at the TecH2O wheel, spinners walked away with information about some of the beautiful plants that are native to the Chihuahuan Desert, as well as a little surprise they could take home and grow on their own. By celebrating the natural wonder and beauty of our desert we ensure that a new generation will grow in appreciation of all our natural resources.
